An interactive art/history installation at Newlyn Art Gallery, part of Transtisiton 2019.
“Seamas Carey will make a timeline the size of a room, then put things on it and then think about it.
The public are also invited to contribute to the wall; personal facts, dates of interest, or things that just happened.
The timeline begins in 1895, when the gallery was founded. But also when Oscar Wilde was sentenced to two years hard labour, and The National Trust was formed. It ends in 2025, so the public have the chance to write their own hopes and concerns for the future.”
